My mom's first flight

First flight is always special... I still remember the first time I flew... courtesy Polaris.. from Hyderabad to Chennai to attend a UML training course... it was an awesome experience... i still vividly remember the cotton-like clouds spread below the airplane wing, a sight to behold... craning my neck to look at roads, buildings, trees, railway lines, small water bodies reflecting sun light....ouch, my neck ached for two days after that....

Yesterday was a special day for my mom... she flew for the first time in her life... from hyderabad to singapore aboard silk air... and it was very enjoyable for me to be the one who took her... my late dad used to say that i will take her around in our very own car ("car lo thipputhadu le nee koduku ninnu").. he did not say anything about the flight... i took mom in the flight as well daddy... if you were here, i would have been very very happy to take you as well... love you....

Mom was emotional, excited, sad and nervous all at the same time... Emotional, as she fondly misses dad and more than numerous times mentioned that dad would have also come along, if he was alive.... excited as a kid as she has not even seen a stationary airplane at close quarters before... you cant take the record away from her that she is the first among her siblings to take to flight... wow.. what an honor... sad, because she was leaving my sister behind in Hyderabad.... and nervous, redolent with grapevine and misconceptions of a first time flyer... she kept asking me if it would make her stomach upset, if there would be washrooms aboard, et cetera et cetera.....

WIP... escalator, how does the pilot see in the dark, why the windows are so small, food on flight, seeing singapore port before touching down, loo on plane,
